More stability and safety
AISIN’s Active Rear Steering (ARS) is an actuator system that optimizes vehicle dynamics by adjusting rear‑axle steering in coordination with front‑wheel inputs, improving stability, steering precision, and maneuverability under varying driving conditions.
Low-Speed Operation: At reduced speeds, the system steers the rear wheels in the opposite phase to the front. This effectively shortens the turning radius, providing agility in urban environments and confined spaces.
High-Speed Operation: During high-speed cornering or lane changes, the rear wheels steer in the same phase as the front. This reduces body sway and ensures smoother, more predictable vehicle behavior with enhanced ride comfort
AISIN has been a primary supplier of ARS technology globally. Since 2007, the system has been integrated into high-performance and premium segments for Lexus, Renault and Jaguar Land Rover models.
Product feature:
AISIN’s unique coaxial motor design with an integrated ECU achieves a compact and lightweight structure.
